My name is Susie and I love to travel and fika, so that’s what I am writing about. During a great adventure, there’s not much that beats taking a coffee break, sit down and just enjoy the atmosphere of wherever you are in the world. This blog is just about that – traveling and sometimes stop for a fika.
Hey, what’s ”fika”?
Fika is a great Swedish word (and concept) that can be both a noun and a verb. Basically, it means to have a coffee (often together with a pastry), or coffee break. You can fika at work by taking a ”coffee break”, fika with your friends or just have a coffee by yourself. (However, just to clarify, drinking a cup of coffee while you are working/studying is not to have a fika).
